Welcome to the Year 6 class page!
In Year 6 we are proud to celebrate our achievements and showcase our work. This page will keep you informed about life in Year 6 and all the amazing things we do!
WW2 Evacuee Experience Day at Tatton Park
As part of our WW2 topic this half term, students in Year 6 were able to experience what life was like for a Mancunian child evacuee and were transported back in time to 1939. Children learnt all about what daily life on a working farm was like during the war for evacuees and even practiced milking a cow!
Year 6 had a wonderful day filled with historical knowledge which we were able to take away and use to inspire our writing in English.
Activism through Art
In our art lessons, Year 6 were introduced to the idea that they can use art as a way of sharing their passions and interests with their peers and community. In class, we started by exploring different artists who are activists, and then went on to identify our own passions and voice the things we care about as individuals.
The children then created their own posters through collage, stencil and print to share their message. We hope you enjoy our art!
