Miss Burke and Miss Elliott (TA)
December 2022 Update.
I want to share how proud I am of the children's hard work during our Christmas festivities. I'm sure you all enjoyed Year 3's performance of Prickly Hay but did you know that the children came up with their own choreography? Miss Ellie and I really wanted to give the children ownership of their performance so we supported them to work as a team to create their own dance routines for each song.

Art
Last term we were looking at creating collages and using different materials to create texture. We used masks and stencils to add detail. We love having our own giant sketchbooks to explore these concepts.
October 2022
At HOCS we try to provide the children with experiences to enrich our curriculum. As part of year 3's new topic we invited in Ryan from Altru and took part in a learn and present day. Our topic is "What's it like to be unique?" and we've been learning all about the unique and wonderful work of Roald Dahl.
As part of the visit year 3 have taken part in drama activities throughout the day. They've learned a script, choreography, created images from some of Roald Dahl's famous stories. We had the opportunity to invite in our friends and grown ups to watch our performance.
Year 3 have enjoyed unleashing their inner actors.
