Uniform Policy
School Uniform Policy: A Guide for Parents
At Higher Openshaw Community School, we have high expectations for all pupils, and our uniform policy plays a key role in promoting a sense of pride and belonging within our school community. We believe that wearing a school uniform helps to create a shared identity, ensuring that every child feels included and part of our school family. Our ethos is that everyone belongs, and the uniform is a visible expression of that belief.
We encourage a community approach to uniform and are here to support families in maintaining this standard. If you require assistance with purchasing uniform items, please don't hesitate to contact our Family Support Worker and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Mrs. Hutchinson, who can provide guidance and support.
Additionally, we are pleased to offer pre-loved uniform through our uniform shop, which runs every July. This is a fantastic opportunity to access affordable, quality uniform items while also promoting sustainability within our school.
By working together, we can ensure all our pupils take pride in their appearance and feel confident in their role as members of our school community.
We like the children at our school to look smart at all times and so we do operate a strict uniform policy.
Parents can purchase our uniform from Trutex Direct, Panache or MCS Store. Websites are listed below:
