Higher Openshaw Community School is a purpose built Primary school maintained by Manchester City Council. The school has an admission number of 45 in each Year Group and a 35 full-time place Foundation Department.

It is a single storey building built in 1959 to provide an education for the children of Higher Openshaw and the surrounding areas.
